Privacy Policy
Solvara is made and published by Lauterstar Technologies, Inc ("Lauterstar"). This policy explains what the app stores, what leaves your device, and what we can see. The short version: we run no servers. There are no accounts. There are no analytics. So there is nothing about you for us to collect.
What stays on your device
Solvara keeps your puzzles, settings, stats, streaks, and unfinished games on your device. None of it is sent to us.
We do not collect:
- Your name, email address, or other contact info
- Device IDs or ad IDs
- Location data
- Usage data or crash reports, beyond what Apple provides through the App Store
The app has no ads, no third-party analytics, and no tracking tools of any kind.
iCloud sync
If you are signed in to iCloud, Solvara saves your play history there. That means finished games, streaks, and streak freezes. It uses Apple's iCloud key-value storage. This is what lets your record survive a new phone or a reinstall.
The data goes from your device to your own private iCloud account, and back to your other devices. Apple's privacy policy covers it, not ours. We cannot see it, and we have no way to ask for it. You can turn off iCloud Drive for Solvara in your device settings. That stops the sync. The app keeps working; your record just stays on that one device.
Nothing else syncs. Settings, your unfinished game, and generated puzzles stay on each device.
Family pricing
If you own another Lauterstar app, Solvara offers a lower price. To spot that, our apps share a keychain group on your device. They read one flag that says a Lauterstar app was bought. The flag holds nothing but that fact. No ID is created. Nothing is sent anywhere. The check happens only on your device.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder in Settings, the app sets a local notification. iOS creates it on your device. No push server is involved. No data is sent to deliver it. You can turn it off in Settings at any time.
In-app purchases
Solvara sells one optional in-app purchase, "Solvara Unlimited". It has a regular price and a family price. Apple handles the payment through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. The app checks your purchase on your device through Apple's StoreKit framework.
Apple App Store
When you download the app or buy something, Apple collects some data under its own Privacy Policy. We cannot control or see that data.
Children
Solvara does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app collects no personal data at all, so it is fine for all ages.
Changes to this policy
If we make a real change, we will update the "Last updated" date above. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new policy.
